Suilven, from Glencanisp Lodge, LochinverSuilven is foremost amongst the wonderful lonely peaks of north-west Scotland. Recently the mountain featured in the film Edie (starring Sheila Hancock) where an elderly lady decides to fight a sense of defeat at a bitter and unfulfilled life by going up to Scotland to climb a mountain. It is easy to see why Suilven was chosen - it is wonderfully photogenic from every angle. The view from the lochans at Glen Canisp is a very special one.

View from y Garn, Snowdonia, looking westwards.Y Garn is a peak very near to Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). It is a great climb and has fantastic expansive views to the west and is also a relatively gentle climb from Rhyd-Ddu. Extremely clear air and lovely puffy clouds worked to my advantage in this image.
