Mysterious mid-WalesThis is the wild and unspoilt part of Wales which saw the re-introduction of the red kite. The birds came out in force as the wind picked up with force, and clouds almost totally blocked out the sun.

Snowdon from Knicht: a study in greysWhat I loved about this view was that it seemed to be made to be a study in greys. I hope it captures the beauty and looming, almost menacing quality of the mountains, and, with the ruined cottage atop the disused slate mine, shows perfectly the unity of the natural scenery with the human activity which took place within it.
Looking East from the summit of Cader IdrisThe scale of this image is shown by the human figure walking on the ridge path. It was wonderful to get this light and cloud formation whilst on the summit.
